E ainda assim nos movemos. A fragilidade enquanto potência, enquanto lugar poético, é o ponto de partida para uma performance que surge da vontade de deslocar o campo privado para o público. Artistas Jo Castro e Maurícia | Neves questionam e reconfiguram a relações entre ambes, tendo como base fotografias de arquivo pessoal de uma relação que encontrou o seu fim.
A imagem como lugar de projeção e de construção. A relação entre os corpos fotografados é reabitada ou talvez não, mas nesta experiência mutante entre o passado e o presente a perceção dessas mesmas imagens transforma-se e ganha novos contornos nos corpos des dues artistas. (Des)(re)construindo-se noutras formas de coexistir, entre a efemeridade e a suspensão prolongada do gesto, a performance convoca um espaço de profunda intimidade quase suspensa, que responde à velocidade do mundo lá fora.
O isolamento social a que foram sujeites, redefiniu a fala, o olhar, o toque e as emoções. Artistas propõem-se a repensar as relações humanas. Como defende Judith Butler: “o ‘eu’ não tem história própria que não seja também a história de uma relação – ou conjunto de relações – com um conjunto de normas”.
“Uma peça auto-biográfica e política”, que dialoga entre a dança e a performance. Esta é a nova criação de dues artistas que têm vindo a colaborar desde 2018.

And still we move. Fragility as power, as a poetic place, is the starting point to a performance that arises from the desire to move the private field to the public sphere. The artists Jo Castro and Maurícia | Neves question and reconfigure the relationships between them, using as a base photographs from the personal archive of a romantic relationship that ended.
The image as a place of projection and construction. The relation between the photographed bodies is reinhabited or perhaps not, but in this mutating experience between past and present the perception of these very images transforms and gains new outlines in the bodies of the two artists. (De)(re)constructing themselves in new forms of existence, between the ephemerality of the word and the prolonged suspension of the gesture, the performance evokes a space of profound intimacy and ephemerality that corresponds to the pace of the outside world.
The social isolation to which they were subjected, redefined speech, sight, touch and emotions. The artists proposed themselves to rethink human relations.
As Judith Butler says: “the ‘I’ has no history of its own that is not also a history of a relation – or set of relations – with a set of norms”.
An autobiographical and political piece, as described by Jo and Maurícia, between dance and performance. This is the new creation by the two artists who have continually collaborated since 2018.
